Founded in 2016 in New Delhi, ECDS Private Limited has emerged as a powerful force in industrial transformation, blending international technology with Indian expertise. What began as a vision to bridge global innovation with local execution has today grown into a company with a turnover of USD 15 million, delivering solutions across cleantech, healthcare, artificial intelligence, and workforce development.
At the heart of ECDS are its founders—Rajesh Bhardwaj, Sonia Bhardwaj, Wooseok Chung, Bogon Kim, and Jongcheol Jeong—who share a common belief in creating meaningful impact. Rajesh Bhardwaj, an electrical engineer with over two decades of experience in energy, renewables, and large-scale industrial projects, brings unmatched expertise to the venture. Having contributed to global initiatives such as airports, railways, smart cities, and even the Olympic Games, he embodies the strategist’s vision and the entrepreneur’s resilience. His professional journey also includes successfully building seven startups before ECDS, making him well-versed in both opportunities and challenges.
What sets ECDS apart is its collaborative model of equal-share joint ventures with Korean companies. Rather than simply importing technologies, ECDS co-develops and adapts them to suit Indian needs. This unique approach ensures that solutions are practical, scalable, and sustainable. For instance, in the cleantech sector, ECDS partners deliver nano-fiber meshes for windows, carbon-absorbing “fiber trees,” advanced air-conditioning filters, and innovations aimed at reducing plastic pollution. In healthcare, ECDS has introduced an affordable and non-invasive cancer screening kit through its collaboration with Cubebio, offering early detection possibilities at scale. Similarly, with AI-based solutions from its partner Aery, ECDS is helping build safer and more inclusive environments through crowd management systems and sign-language interpretation technology.
Another cornerstone of ECDS’s mission is workforce development. The company is investing in Skilled Development Centers (SDCs) to prepare India’s workforce for emerging industries. These hubs will train individuals in manufacturing, healthcare, aviation, and artificial intelligence, while creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs. This focus on human capital ensures that technological adoption is matched with local capacity building, addressing one of India’s most pressing needs—the skill gap.

The company’s impact extends far beyond technology and jobs. ECDS acts as a bridge for global collaborations, helping international partners establish R&D units, factories, and service hubs in India. This not only strengthens India’s industrial base but also positions the country as a launchpad for expansion into Middle Eastern markets. By fostering innovation and knowledge transfer, ECDS is redefining the way cross-border business partnerships function.
The journey, however, was not without obstacles. Transitioning from a service career into entrepreneurship, Rajesh Bhardwaj faced challenges in decision-making and struggled with limited capital during the early years. Yet these experiences became valuable lessons that shaped the company’s philosophy: under-promise and over-deliver, stay financially disciplined, avoid complacency, and build customer loyalty through trust and service rather than aggressive marketing.
Looking ahead, ECDS has ambitious goals. By 2027, it plans to be listed on the Indian Stock Exchange, with Nasdaq listing targeted for 2030. The company also envisions establishing 10,000 micro and 100 medium-scale Skilled Development Centers across India, creating a robust ecosystem for innovation, skills, and employment.
For Rajesh Bhardwaj, the inspiration comes from a lifelong passion to bring positive change and from the mentors who taught him the importance of continuous learning. His entrepreneurial philosophy is rooted in determination, grit, and the belief that technology should serve society. To aspiring entrepreneurs, his advice is simple: “Aim high, work harder, and stay focused. Success is built on resilience, learning, and the courage to solve problems that truly matter.”
Today, ECDS is more than just a business. It is a symbol of how global partnerships, when thoughtfully localized, can transform industries and uplift communities. With a strong foundation and a bold vision for the future, ECDS continues to co-create solutions that are not only innovative but also deeply impactful for India and beyond.
