In the world of real estate, some focus on profit, others on prestige. Sarthak Bansal, Managing Director of Shiv Kamal Realtors (SKR Housing), focuses on purpose. For him, each project is more than a commercial venture—it’s a living space that shapes communities, supports livelihoods, and leaves a lasting imprint on the city’s story.
The Bansal family name has been synonymous with construction since 1985, when his father and uncle launched Bansal Builders. Growing up amid site visits and design discussions, Sarthak inherited a deep respect for the craft. But when he stepped into leadership in 2019, fresh from earning his MBA in business strategy and infrastructure management, he was determined not just to follow tradition—he wanted to modernize it.
“Buildings aren’t just made of concrete,” he says. “They’re built from the dreams of the people who will live and work in them. Our role is to make sure those dreams have the right foundation.”
Under his direction, SKR has completed over 80 projects across Delhi, Gurugram, and Jaipur, from luxury residential complexes to dynamic commercial spaces. His developments are guided by three principles—sustainability, smart design, and social value—ensuring that each project benefits not only its occupants but the wider community.
His early years as a young leader were not without resistance. At 26, Sarthak faced skepticism from industry veterans and encountered delays and vendor pushback. But every challenge became a stepping stone. “Reputation can help you start,” he reflects, “but resilience, consistency, and delivering on promises are what keep you moving forward.”
A hallmark of Sarthak’s leadership is emotional intelligence—the ability to listen, connect, and lead with empathy. He believes in balancing business logic with human understanding, a philosophy that has helped SKR build enduring relationships in an industry often driven by short-term gains.
His inspirations include the integrity and dedication of his father and uncle, alongside global visionaries like Mohamed Alabbar and Ratan Tata, who have proven that large-scale development can align with social responsibility.
Sarthak also advocates for change in the sector—championing greater transparency, stricter green building norms, and integration with smart city infrastructure. His vision is clear: a real estate industry that is customer-first, environmentally responsible, and future-ready.
Over the years, his work has been recognized by Adani Cement, Gaur City, Unity Group, and Rathi Steel, and honored with awards such as the Appreciation Award by Kamdhenu TMT Bars, Sales Excellence from Rockstrong Cement, and the Contribution Award from the All India Business Association. Still, he insists that the greatest accolade is the trust of clients who return to SKR time and again.
To the next generation of professionals, he offers simple but powerful advice: “Be clear about your purpose. Learn the business from the ground up. Respect your team. Honor every commitment. Technology will keep evolving, but human insight will always be the guiding force. Build for tomorrow, not just today.”
For Sarthak Bansal, real estate is more than constructing spaces—it’s about building legacies that endure, communities that flourish, and cities that truly come alive.
